The world of seaweed and the journey towards building a sustainable global seaweed operation, provides a wealth of experiences to share from.

I use these experiences to illustrate relevant topics and offer different speaking themes. Ranging from a keynote speech with the aim to inspire the audience, to an interactive event with workshops on how to create an environmentally restorative and socially just company.

a little bit about me

My journey so far

I started my professional career within Sales at Procter & Gamble. Later I joined the Management Team of Pepsi Cola Benelux.

When our first son was born, I decided to quit my job and start a Management Consulting firm, so I could blend work and family life. Over the years, I have worked with the leadership teams of large and small companies such as Royal Dutch Telecom, Vodafone, Danone, Unilever, Nestlé, Heineken and Reckitt Benckiser, in places all over the world.

In 2005 I traveled with my family through the USA in a motor home for a year. Our best year yet! After that we moved to Spain, where we built a house and Leadership Center at the Mediterranean. Ten years later I’ve returned to The Netherlands to continue my journey to contribute to a liveable future for my kids and the generations to come.

Today, I am the founder and SeaEO of The Seaweed Company. Together with our passionate team we are farming seaweed all over the globe to support the health & wellbeing of humans, animals, crops and soils.

The Seaweed Company is a value driven Dutch-based organisation that operates worldwide in Ireland, Morocco, India, Greenland and The Netherlands since 2018. 

We aim to contribute to a livable future for our children and the generations to come and to improve the health and well-being of humans, animals, crops & soils.

We farm, harvest & process seaweeds to let the world benefit from healthy and valuable applications. Meanwhile regenerating our oceans.
